UAE state-owned oil giant Emarat accepts cryptocurrency payments for gasoline through partnership with Crypto.com

05/08/2025·16DPANews reported on May 8 that according to official news, UAE state-owned oil giant Emarat announced a strategic partnership with Crypto.com to launch cryptocurrency payment services at gas stations - this is the first time in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. In the first phase, the service will be launched at 10 Emal gas stations and plans to be gradually promoted to its entire network. As part of this collaboration, Emarat has also launched the Emarat×Crypto.com co-branded service station on Al Wasl Road, Dubai - the world's first flagship site under its "Project Landmark" of such a type, which introduces a gas station naming right model.
It is reported that Emarat is one of the leading energy suppliers in the UAE. It was founded in 1980 and has a market value of US$14 billion.
