A spokesman for the Singapore Exchange said the company intends to launch the contracts in the second half of 2025, and the company will strictly target institutional clients and professional investors and prohibit retail investors from trading these tools.
The Singapore Exchange wants to be a bridge between regulated financial markets and the laissez-faire world of cryptocurrency trading. A spokesman for the company said they believe the products it offers will "significantly expand access to the institutional market."
