El Salvador has bought 13 Bitcoins since March 1

PANews March 9th news, according to Cointelegraph, although the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has put pressure on El Salvador to stop accumulating decentralized store of value assets. But since March 1, El Salvador has still purchased 13 bitcoins. According to the El Salvador Bitcoin Office, the country's Bitcoin library holds a total of more than 6,105 BTC, worth more than $527 million at current prices.

In December 2024, El Salvador reached an agreement with the International Monetary Fund to receive a loan of US$1.4 billion from the organization. As part of the agreement, the El Salvador government agreed to cancel BTC’s fiat currency status in the country and reduce public sector participation in Bitcoin.
