Binance will airdrop 482 RDAC tokens to users with 205 points in Alpha
According to official news, Binance Alpha will be launched on Redacted (RDAC), and the transaction will start at 10:00 (UTC) on May 13, 2025. Eligible Binance users who have at least 205 Alpha points can receive airdrops of 482 RDAC tokens on the Alpha event page starting at 10:00 on May 13, 2025 (UTC).
In addition, users with Alpha points between 170 and 204 (inclusive) and Binance account UID ending with the number 7 have the opportunity to receive lucky airdrops of 482 RDAC tokens on the Alpha event page starting on May 13, 2025 (UTC).
Please note that claiming RDAC airdrop will consume 15 Alpha points.
Dubai partnered with Crypto.com to provide crypto payments for government services
According to Cointelegraph, the Dubai government has signed an agreement with cryptocurrency trading platform Crypto.com to plan to allow individual and business users to use cryptocurrency to pay for government services through Crypto.com's digital wallet. Payments will be automatically converted to Dhhh and transferred to the Dubai Ministry of Finance account.
The initiative is part of Dubai’s “Cashless Strategy” and aims to achieve 90% cashless public and private sector financial transactions by 2026. Dubai's Ministry of Finance said the cooperation will accelerate the development of fintech and is expected to bring at least Dh8 billion (about US$2.1 billion) to the economy.

Misuse of US SEC X account to release Bitcoin spot ETF, approved hacker may face two years in prison

Eric Council Jr. is the person who helps publish false information that announced the Bitcoin spot ETF approved through the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) account X.
In a May 12 filing in the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia, prosecutors advised the judge to sentence Council to two years in prison for posting false news on social media platform X that the SEC had first approved the spot Bitcoin ETF in January 2024. The false statement shocked the market within about 24 hours before the SEC actually approved the spot Bitcoin ETF, which eventually led to the arrest of Council.
According to The Block, Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States (stock code COIN), will be officially included in the S&P 500 index, setting a precedent for pure cryptocurrency companies to be selected into the benchmark index. After the news was announced, Coinbase's stock price rose 8% in after-hours trading to US$226, with a company's market value of US$53 billion.
The selection marks the recognition of the cryptocurrency industry by mainstream financial markets, and Coinbase will replace Discover Financial Services' position in the S&P 500. It is worth noting that despite a 13% quarter-on-quarter revenue decline to $2 billion in the first quarter of 2025, the company still achieved a net profit of $527 million, demonstrating profitability in cryptocurrency market volatility.
