Can the Adventure Island Chain Game NXPC be launched with strong support to drive GameFi to recover?

On May 15, NEXON, a Korean game company that has sold DNF, Island of Adventure, and Kart, issued NXPC coins. In terms of token distribution, 3% was allocated to BNB HODLer, and it also launched Binance, Bybit, Upbit, Bithumb and other exchanges. In the game, NXPC can be used to cast equipment NFT and pay handling fees, with a certain deflation mechanism.

As a classic MMORPG with a total of more than 250 million players worldwide and a total revenue of US$5 billion, its huge user base and mature economic system lay the foundation for the chain reform of this game. This type of game naturally has a deeply immersive gameplay framework and a highly complex virtual economic system. Players often continue to invest in character development, equipment accumulation and social relationship construction over several years or even decades. This long-term stickiness provides a stable user base and value precipitation scenario for chain reform.

In addition, the mechanisms of guild collaboration, economic production, resource competition and other common in MMORPG are highly adapted to blockchain's contribution rewards and token incentive models - for example, the tokens obtained by players through participating in dungeon challenges, community governance or content creation can be converted into general fuel for the in-game economic system, thus forming a positive cycle, which is reflected in a larger player life cycle and higher in-game economic potential.

Under such a strategy, the crypto market is actively buying such opportunities, and Korean giants are also using the crypto market as a brand new business growth point. According to NEXON's first quarter financial report for 2025, quarterly revenue reached US$775.9 million, a year-on-year increase of 5%, and revenue is expected to fall by about 40% in the second quarter. In this token issuance, the market value growth of US$3.8 billion will also become a powerful boost to the financial report. On the road to chain games, NEXON is carrying the banner of revival again.
