An anonymous user pledged 10,000 BTC on Babylon 10 days ago, worth over US$1 billion.

PANews reported on December 25 that the Bitcoin staking protocol Babylon disclosed on its official blog that on December 15, during the third launch of the Babylon Bitcoin staking protocol mainnet, an anonymous pledger pledged 1 10,000 Bitcoins, worth over $1 billion.

Babylon said: “Previously, the largest staking amounts came from entities looking to stake for their users (such as the LST protocol and custodians), but staking on such a large scale by individuals is of particular significance to Babylon and its protocol. Whoever this person is, their decision to stake directly to Babylon rather than through LST pushes the concept of ‘trustless’ staking from the abstract to the concrete.”
