It is reported that the gang is engaged in network technology High-end "hackers", one of whom is a staff member of a large network security company, write hacker programs to obtain citizens' personal information beyond their authority, and finally sell citizens' personal information through virtual currency on overseas websites, selling for up to 5 yuan per item.
According to police investigation, the case involved 57 government and enterprise websites, and the gang stole 208 million pieces of citizens’ personal information such as flight tracks, diplomas, and addresses, making illegal profits of more than 6.4 million yuan. The task force seized more than 5.6 million yuan in illegal gains, seized more than 30 sets of core codes of hacking tool programs written by the suspects, more than 10 hacker virtual machines to penetrate and attack systems, and seized 270 penetration scripts. The case has been transferred to prosecution and is currently under trial.
