Project Introduction

Opinion Labs is a decentralized forecast market protocol deployed on Monad, allowing anyone to create forecast markets based on any topic and trade with ERC-20 tokens. Users can make judgments on the future directions of political, economic, sports or cultural events, and express their opinions or bets through the market. These markets are open, license-free, and anyone can participate without relying on a centralized platform or approval process.

Opinion Labs' core infrastructure is Opinion Protocol, a decentralized protocol that supports the rapid creation of markets with transaction forecasts. It has an open structure, and any DApp can be accessed, building applications based on prediction logic. The protocol is scalable and transparent, suitable for market generation of multiple topics and asset types.

To ensure the credibility of market results, Opinion Labs also built Consensus Oracle. This mechanism puts the event results on the chain through participants' consensus and serves as the basis for market settlement. Its operation relies on crypto economic incentives to ensure the accuracy of data records and the security of the system.

Therefore, there are two core problems that Opinion Labs solves:

Second, it makes the "truth" more open and transparent. In a decentralized market, people use real money to express their beliefs, and there is no middleman to manipulate information. The price of the market reflects the participants' true judgment, thus getting closer to the facts.

Project background and development status

According to RootData data, on March 28, 2025, Opinion Labs received a seed round of financing of US$5 million, led by Yzi Labs. The participating institutions include well-known investment institutions such as Amber Group and Manifold Trading.

In terms of project progress, Opinion Labs has launched their first product, AlphaOrBeta, a prediction market platform where users can vote for popular events to participate in predictions or create a predictive event themselves. In addition, their main product, O.Labs Prediction Market, is still in the testnet phase.

According to the official website, Opinion Labs' trading volume has reached US$43 million, the trading volume this week is US$9.2 million, and the number of active addresses is nearly 700,000.
