Trump denies profiting from TRUMP tokens, saying he has not paid attention to his performance

05/05/2025·1MPANews May 5th news, according to CoinDesk, US President Donald Trump recently publicly denied that he is personally profiting from the TRUMP memecoin with the same name.
In an interview with NBC News, Trump said he "had not profited from anything", did not pay attention to the token's market performance, and believed that any possible financial gain was "accidental".
However, previous analysis reports such as Chainalysis pointed out that the token had generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in fee income for its supporters in the short term. And, reportedly, 80% of the TRUMP token supply is held by wallets jointly controlled by Trump-related entities CIC Digital LLC (also used to manage its NFT series) and Fight Fight Fight LLC. Recently, the White House also announced plans to invite the 220 largest holders of TRUMP tokens to have dinner with the president.
