Solana AI Hackathon is online: A look at 12 new AI Agent projects

Editor's note: On December 11, Solana announced the launch of the first Solana AI Hackathon, which aims to build AI agents and tools on Solana. Prizes range from US$5,000 to US$30,000, aiming to encourage companies that can attract venture capital or launch their own Tokens for serious Crypto x AI projects. This article is about twelve AI-related entrepreneurial directions proposed by SEND AI, an AI project of the Solana ecosystem.

1/ Agent’s Shopify platform:

Problem: Agents are like applications. As in the early stages of the application, the Agent is currently fragmented and faces discoverability issues.

Solution: Create an app store for AI Agent:

–– Agents are mini-applications.

–– Users can explore, install and use these mini-apps just like Shopify.

2/ AI Agent’s Twitch platform:

Problem: The rise of influencer agents requires a dedicated platform.

Solution: Create an exclusive streaming media platform for AI activities:

–– Integrated AI moderator

–– Agent can directly launch or promote tokens

–– Audiences can directly buy and sell tokens based on interaction

Idea: Twitch for AI Agent: A streaming platform specifically built for AI activities and interactions, integrating AI modules (contingency protocols for immediate response to censorship), agents can directly activate and promote tokens, and viewers buy and sell based on interactions.

3/ Enhanced Agent filter:

Issue: Legacy filters only support read-only functionality.

Solution: Imagine a MEME coin filter (similar to @birdeye_so) where you filter coins and enter metrics - and then an AI Agent autonomously executes trades based on the chosen strategy.

Idea: A filter designed for on-chain trading bots that allows quantitative traders to develop and optimize strategies using tailor-made on-chain indicators, specifically for the decentralized ecosystem. Unlike traditional technical indicators such as moving averages, P/E ratios or market cap, the platform utilizes blockchain-specific data points such as FDV, Raydium pool creation, token liquidity, trading volume and staking rewards. Users can quickly screen and filter tokens based on these on-chain metrics to identify high-potential assets. Ultimately, the platform simplifies the process of applying these conditions to on-chain trading bots, which can autonomously execute trades based on selected strategies.

4/ Autonomous trading agent:

Question: @aixbt_agent's research is very solid, but it does not perform autonomous trading.

Solution: Imagine Aixbt, with the ability to execute autonomous trades based on real-time research/prices, using a funding account (with a total amount of assets under management that the user can invest and withdraw).

Case: BabyDegen is an autonomous AI trading robot that uses advanced models and real-time data to make informed trading decisions. It gathers market insights from sources like CoinGecko, ensuring the information is current. By accessing a growing library of trading strategies from ecosystem developers, BabyDegen is able to select the most effective strategies based on market changes. It executes trades—buy, sell, or hold assets—based on analysis and experience, optimizing trading results.

5/ Telegram prediction market driven by AI Agent:

Problem: Betting with friends is fun, but the process of setting up bets, collecting payments, and following up can be cumbersome.

Solution: AI Agent turns chatter in Telegram groups into friendly bets, verifies the results (via Perplexity), and pays out USDC.

6/ Perplexity for Solana operations:

Imagine a chat agent with an embedded wallet:

– Reading: Acts as a proxy for Solana block explorers or terminals, such as Birdeye/Dexscreener.

– Write: Use natural language to perform Solana transactions (such as buying MEME coins).

Future development: on-chain shopping assistant.

7/ Trust market for trading agents:

Problem: The rise of trading agents needs to prove their credibility.

Solution: Establish a trust score or framework (similar to Moody's rating) for trading agents to evaluate trust based on token recommendations and historical trading activity.

8/ DeFi Agent:

–– Personalized Agent: Execute DeFi transactions for you based on your wallet history or tweets.

–– Market Making Agent: Dynamically sets buying/selling prices based on large language model (LLM) predictions.

–– Yield or liquidity provision (LP) optimization agent.

9/ Agent Token Tool:

–– Deploy tokens based on prompts (either a social protocol like Warpcast/Clanker or a ChatGPT style interface).

–– On-chain registration of Agent tokens (similar to @JupiterExchange’s certified token list).

–– Independent locking, staking and other functions.

10/ AI Agent and consumption encryption:

–– Health and fitness agent with @moonwalkfitness type responsibility tracking capabilities.

–– Agents on social financial platforms, such as @tribedotrun.

–– Real World Commerce: Automatically research, book and pay merchants, accept cryptocurrencies or pay via crypto cards.

11/ Agent cluster or multi-Agent collaboration:

–– AgentDAO or Committee: Agents with different expertise collaborate, discuss, and execute transactions through multi-signatures.

–– DeFiAgent versus Agent Market: Agents hire each other for specific tasks.

12/ Multimodal Personalized Agent:

Using @ai16z dao's Eliza framework, it is applied to the following scenarios:

13/ More radical ideas:

–– An Agent creates its own LLC in an Agent-friendly jurisdiction and operates its own business autonomously.

–– An on-chain detective, similar to @zachxbt, that automatically analyzes transactions.

–– A group of Agents coordinate to control the price of tokens.

14/ Generally, any AI Agent idea can be applied as long as it contains

one or more of the following:

–– Access @solana data

–– Execute transactions through Solana wallet

–– Deploying tokens on Solana

These are just some of the ideas and we look forward to seeing the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) come to fruition.
