Maybe many people want to be KOLs and have their own fan base in the crypto space, and this article is intended to share how to increase the number of fans (on X platform, but on most other online platforms too).
Beginner requirements:
- Must love writing and reading to a certain extent
- Good English proficiency, even if you don’t have it, doing these will help improve your English proficiency (this will be of great benefit to the future)
- This work was not achieved overnight, but a "marathon". Even in the trough period, the post does not receive enough attention, and it needs to be persisted.
- Buy X Premium (No Premium+ required)
- Having fun is the most important thing. If there is no fun doing this, it may not be for you.
1. Select the main and secondary areas. Actively respond to KOLs in this field . Reply and getting good feedback in responses is key to going from 0 to 1000 .
In addition to the encryption field, there must be something you are interested in, follow these accounts.
It can be electronic cars, modern movies, retro movies, comics, culture and politics of another country, retro technology, art, 3D artwork, classical art, programming, AI programming electronics/accessories, and more.
You should get into these segments, focus on the opinion leaders in these segments, and respond actively to them.
Identify the main characters: Who is the opinion leader and why is it popular?
The main account you are following should be the encryption field, set up notifications for all of these mainstream accounts and be ready to respond immediately.
Reason: You need to maintain a good relationship with opinion leaders in these fields and let them pay attention to you so the algorithm will prioritize you. You may be interested in things outside of encryption, and focusing on secondary areas can help distract yourself from encrypted Twitter.
2. Build the meme folder / image folder
Never use GIFs on Twitter, it's cliché, and the X platform algorithms won't prioritize them compared to your own pictures.
This is very simple, download some popular ones, or download them as soon as you see interesting ones, and develop a habit. It would be a bonus if you can create it yourself, but if your account is small, it may be stolen and forwarded by others.
3. Be sure to check the recently published content. Follow the headlines and be there as soon as possible. Post first, post more interestingly, and then ask questions.
Time matters, for example, my most successful tweet last week was to copy 4 screenshots of articles about the Hayden/Meteora team from SolanaFloor, doing nothing but saving 4 photos with an interesting comment, but getting 200 kaito Yaps points.
Although not proud of it, it does work.
This type of content, called "inflammatory content", cannot be the main content of the account, but it can be used as a supplement to tweets and styles. All successful CT people do this, even Musk.
_80%_ _of the time, be enthusiastic, active and independent. Another_ _20%_ _should behave real, cold, a little negative, and like a liar_
4. Try not to write more than 2 sentences in a block
For example:
- This is a good example
- A long sentence
- Takes up more space on users' phones and tablets
- So they had to spend more time
- They use their fingers to browse your posts on their phones
- But don't be annoying
Of course not to overdo it, but on Twitter, you should write more paragraphs in a full block. If there are 5 sentences in a paragraph, I would consider how to divide it into 2x2 paragraphs, taking up more space so that users are more likely to interact.
5. In most cases, it is better to reply with a good picture than just text
Although it is a rumor, it is true. It is important not to write a large paragraph of text/article without a good meme picture.
6. Interact with others frequently and reply immediately when they reply , but make sure that the account is of higher quality than yours (don't waste time responding to only 50 and most likely a bot's account).
7. Follow those active accounts with 20,000 to 10,000 followers
Most of these people are online, they like to chat, you can talk to them a lot of things, learn from it, never bore them, and don’t feel like they have ulterior motives.
8. Reddit screenshots and other types of rage baits and comments that work well
Reddit is like a parallel CT where you look for some insights, provide a sharp comment or two on screenshots of the insights to see if people react. There are usually a lot of interesting things happening, dig deeper, don't be afraid, try it occasionally.
9. Don’t reply to posts that have been over 12 hours (or even 4 hours) because the user’s attention has been turned to other tweets. Don’t expect others to follow your replies, because you are just a small account and the number of views of tweets will be greatly reduced after 2 hours.
If it is recent, it is worth commenting/reply.
10. Don't add any hyperlinks to your reply / post unless absolutely necessary (even if you are the original post author, just turn it into a long push). The algorithm obviously doesn't like this, which will greatly reduce priority.
11. Everyone loves original content or content stolen from other websites that have not been posted on X.
12. Be good at writing, coherent thinking, and not too long-winded -users don’t have time to read too much.
This is why segmentation is needed and why simple ideas are more popular.
13. Pay attention to those who are good at long-term analysis and then go back and spend hours reading each post.
Find every word you think is difficult to understand and increase your vocabulary. Understand the message conveyed and always think:
- “What made this person famous on CT?”
- "How can I copy this and steal/borrow some halo?"
14. Have a memorable name on Twitter, avoid using any basic name, eth name, sol name, tag and emoji in your name, all indicate loyalty to the agreements that may not appear again within 2 months.
These are all bad, meaningless, and not many people hold them. Also, you may never want to play any role for a project in the crypto space, as the popularity of the project may fade quickly, and there is no reason to create your brand around something that may get worse soon. Although .hl .eth .sol is great now, do you remember Harmony's .one before? Make your own brand.
15. Avoid cursing / over-cursing, the algorithm is annoying
Never quarrel with others on long pushes and replies, respect others, and every time you get caught in a fierce abusive argument, you must pretend that you are being punished financially, but in fact you are indeed punished financially.
16. Let people remember you visually through their own writing style, topics involved, profile picture covers, etc.
Be styled so that users can see that this is a post from you less than 3 seconds after seeing the thumbnail.
It's a recurring process and it may take you a year to find the style that suits you and get the most attention you have.
17. Do not add links to projects / communications / anything in your profile until your followers are over 4-5k .
Even if your followers are twice that number, your reach is still small, and even if half of them are registered (they won’t sign up), you can’t make money from your small number of followers.
Try to build a website or telegraph/substack or something in case you are banned/banned, in different forms of writing for people to read.
18. When you talk about a topic / airdrop / chain, at the end tag the most influential people , they will most likely respond, which is a good foundation.
Focus on segments and chains that aren't very much concerned, because the community there is very close relationship.
19. It 's a job you need to enjoy and you have to check in every day, if you don't like writing about encryption, writing something else, and replying to something else. Just find something you like.
20. Be sincere. Be yourself.
Don't be afraid to let people know what you're going through, and what you really think and behave (just to a certain extent, of course).
The "Internet celebrity economy" in 2025 is based on one thing - that is sincerity. You can be really crazy, you can face mistakes sincerely, and you can change and "beautify" your content, your image, everything about you. But users (especially those with some experience) can always tell who is sincere and who just keeps using bait, no actionable advice, and fake portfolio/profit statements to attract attention.
You can also notice this trend on other platforms, such as Instagram, Xiaohongshu, and YouTube.
The Internet celebrity era of "I am very happy every day, smiling, my life is great, I want to share all this with you" is over.
After 2025, content creators should be honest, humane, and tell interesting stories, and algorithms will give priority to this.
No one wants an expert (because there is no real way to tell who is an expert and who is not an expert), no one wants a perfect image (because no one is perfect).
Everyone wants something related to it, raw, amateur, flawed content—like all of us.
