Fed Goulsby: Wait and see Trump policy before resuming interest rate cuts

PANews February 25th news, Chicago Fed Governor Austan Goolsbee said on Monday night local time that the Fed needs clearer information before cutting interest rates. “If the government enacts policies to push up prices, then, by law, the Fed must take that into account.”

Goulsby also said auto parts suppliers have expressed concerns about tariffs. More clarity is needed before the Fed cuts interest rates again. What needs for a package of policies for the entire government remains to be determined, and the Federal Reserve has to take a wait-and-see attitude.
