ENS Labs selects Linea’s technology to build its L2 network Namechain

PANews, December 17, CoinDesk reported that ENS Labs, the company behind the Ethereum domain name service, said on Tuesday that it has selected Linea’s technology to build its upcoming Layer 2 network Namechain. Linea is a zero-knowledge rollup technology launched by Ethereum infrastructure giant Consensys in July 2023.

ENS Labs said it chose Linea to build its network for two reasons: one was value fit, and the other was related to speed. ENS will be one of the first major projects to build a Layer 2 blockchain based on Linea technology.
