ChainCatcher recently had a conversation with UXLINK's CMO Eric about the breakthroughs, achievements, challenges and New Year's plans in 2024. Just like there are two sides to a coin, UXLINK’s achievements are due to the many challenges faced by the team, but Eric said that no matter how the market environment changes in 2024, the point that UXLINK will firmly grasp is real user growth, “Any meaningful The construction of Dapp must serve C-end users. In addition, in terms of plans for the new year, Eric revealed that in order to achieve the goal of 100 million users, UXLINK will still be based on Telegram in 2025 and will continue to invest and grow in LINE. ChainCatcher: I believe that 2024 will be a crucial year for UXLINK, which has achieved good results from multiple dimensions such as user growth, technology development, influence building, and financing. If you were asked to use a few keywords to summarize UXLINK in 2024, which ones would they be?
Eric: I think there are two keywords that may summarize UXLINK’s development in 2024 – pioneering and breakthrough.
"Pioneering" represents the innovative spirit of UXLINK. We pioneered the Web3 acquaintance social network, and were the first to rely on Telegram to build products instead of relying on APP, Website or Twitter. In addition, we are the first Web3 social platform to enter LINE, and the industry's first Layer-UXLINK Social Growth Layer positioned for social growth.
"Breakthrough" represents UXLINK's business achievements. In 2024, our number of registered users will exceed 30 million, the number of new users on LINE will exceed 2 million in more than a month, the number of ecological partners will exceed 300, and $UXLINK’s currency price, transaction volume, transaction activity, and CMC’s global popularity ranking will also increase. ChainCatcher: As of December 2024, UXLINK has more than 38 million global users. Please outline UXLINK 's strategy for expanding into the global market and the results achieved in different regions.
Eric: From a regional perspective, we use Japan and South Korea as our Home Market and focus on expanding users in Asia and Europe.
From a channel perspective, Telegram is still our base, and LINE will be our focus throughout 2025 . TikTok will also be an important channel for Marketing in the future.
At present, the distribution of users is still mainly in Asia, followed by Europe. From the perspective of the number of users, the most populous countries in Southeast Asia account for the most. From the perspective of user contribution (such as Trade and Stake), South Korea has the largest number.
ChainCatcher: Speaking of expansion, I would like to ask you to take the Korean market as an example and share your experience in detail - the recent performance of UXLINK 's tokens is very impressive, which is also inseparable from UXLINK's layout in South Korea, Japan and other regions. UXLINK is How to expand the social landscape to social software such as LINE and Kakao Talk? How to build and operate local communities?
Eric: Recently, many friends have asked me how to do the Korean market. Maybe it’s because we performed well after joining Upbit. In fact, there are not many tips. The first is time, the second is trust, and the third is return.
From a time perspective, we have been operating in the Korean market for more than a year and a half. In the early days of UXLINK, we discovered that Korean users participated in our product interactions and they also "strolled their hair." We opened the Korean channel early and have also developed long-term cooperation with multiple Korean airdrop communities.
From a trust perspective, after long-term cooperation and the first season airdrop, we have established a good reputation among Korean KOLs and users. They recognize UXLINK’s narrative, all Roadmaps have been fulfilled one by one, and the promises in the white paper have not changed. . As for return, it is the inevitable result of the continuous accumulation of time and trust. When I communicated with many Korean communities, they even said "We love UXLINK". The entire Asian market has its own characteristics. South Korea’s Crypto penetration rate is high, and the offline end is still strong. Recently, we have also been regularly placing some ground advertisements in Seoul and Busan, South Korea. The Korean market is full of snow. We will continue to roll the snowball and strive to build UXLINK into South Korea's national cryptocurrency. Of course, this is still a long way off.
At present, we have launched UXLINK MiniApp on LINE, which is mainly for the Japanese market. LINE is basically not used in South Korea. Kakao Talk currently does not support product integration. At present, we are mainly doing marketing, and the effect is pretty good.
ChainCatcher: Many people mentioned when contacting your team that the UXLINK team has strong learning ability and is very good at thinking about the underlying logic (from a product perspective). What specific things do you think these comments reflect? What efforts will be made in team building in 2024?
Eric: This evaluation is too high. We feel that the Web3 team has strong learning ability. If we talk about specific performance, maybe in the initial design of the underlying product, we are prepared to take an open approach.
When we started Web3 social networking, we were not targeting our own growth from the beginning. Our protocol design, underlying architecture design, etc. were all prepared to support other developers in the industry in the future . In other words, UXLINK planned to build Web3 social infrastructure from the beginning, not just a SocialFi project to do user numbers and other data performance for itself.
In addition, the most important change in 2024 is that the size of the technical team will double. We are also continuing to improve the technical capabilities of our team. Our headquarters is in Singapore, with members distributed in more than a dozen countries, and our operations are relatively international.
UXLINK challenges and results in 2024
ChainCatcher: What are the key challenges that the UXLINK team will face in 2024, and how will they be overcome?
Eric: The first challenge was TGE. The market environment was not good at that time, but we withstood the pressure and received great support from the community. Many users pledged immediately after choosing the Claim airdrop, and now they have received generous returns.
The second challenge is to get on Upbit. Korean users have been looking forward to it for a long time, but in fact we don’t know if or when we will finally be able to get on. But the support from the community came naturally and we got on board.

ChainCatcher: The success and development of the project are closely related to the current market conditions and hot spots. What thoughts and reviews do you have on UXLINK’s operational rhythm and product rhythm in 2024?
Eric: We are actually not very good at "chasing hot topics". You see, we haven't caught up with AI Agent, MEME, and RWA. But we firmly grasp a few points: 1. Any Web3 project needs real users and real growth; 2. Any meaningful Dapp construction must serve C-side users; 3. The current Web3 experience cannot Let 1 billion Web3 users come in; 4. ChainCatcher: Please talk about UXLINK’s efforts in building an ecosystem and its cooperation with other projects.
Eric: We have more than 300 ecological partners, which is really not easy. The team has communicated with nearly 1,000 project parties. The current progress is very good. We are cooperating with Partners at all levels including social media growth, on-chain interaction, social protocol output, and joint development.
For example, our joint activity with Binance Wallet has achieved very good results. Through social growth and calling the UXLINK social protocol, it has brought hundreds of thousands of new users, 95% of which came from users’ active Link To Earn.
Airdrop 2049 is a project incubated by the UXLINK community. In just a few months, more than 1 million users have participated. It has attracted more than 100 high-quality Web3 project developers and airdropped tokens worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. The project has achieved real and rapid growth. Users participate in the co-construction of different projects and receive rewards, which perfectly illustrates the redefinition of Web3's production relations. ChainCatcher: UXLINK is known as the "pioneer of Web3 acquaintance social networking". What are the main technical innovations of the team in terms of products in 2024?
Eric: "Web3 acquaintance socialization" is indeed an innovation that UXLINK has brought to the industry. We believe that acquaintance socialization based on trust is the most important form of real social interaction, and acquaintance socialization has a natural network effect foundation, which can naturally transition from one-to-one to many-to-many, group and other forms, and more It is easy to form a three-dimensional social network. UXLINK's core strategy is to build a social network based on acquaintance relationships. This year’s technical focus is to work with partners to develop the Social Growth Layer. This will be the industry’s first Layer or Chain focused on social growth. How to achieve the goal of “100 million users”?
ChainCatcher: UXLINK officially stated in the blog that "2025 will be a great year for UXLINK". According to the roadmap, you plan to serve 100 million users in 2025. This is a very challenging number. In order to achieve this goal, What strategies will be adopted to further expand the user base? How to continuously motivate users?
Eric: We currently have more than 2 million users on LINE, and we will continue to invest and grow in LINE in 2025. Our users on Telegram, Twitter and other social media continue to grow. Through a good Web3 experience like One Account One Gas, we will attract more users to use UXLINK as their first stop and core usage scenario to join the Web3 world, linking users and Dapps.
The incentive is still $UXLINK, and the incentive method is community co-construction. Users who have contributed to our current situation can allocate our Tokens. We are currently doing the second season airdrop, and there will be a third and fourth season in 2025 to fully ensure the interests of the community.
ChainCatcher: Witch studios in the crypto industry have become very industrialized. Does UXLINK have plans to continue to fight against witches? How to ensure the authenticity of user data?
Eric: We continue to fight against witches, and we are not afraid of offending people. We have our own set of mechanisms, and we also adopt good solutions from partners in the market. We did anti-witch treatment for the airdrop in the first season, and we will do the same in the second season. To be honest, if we didn't fight against Witches, our number of users might have been close to 100 million, because there are a large number of wallet address registrations or various Fake account registrations that our system would directly block.
ChainCatcher: The Social Growth Layer testnet and mainnet will be launched in 2025. Please give us a detailed introduction to UXLINK’s product and service expansion plans.
Eric: We plan to release the UXLINK Social Growth Layer testnet in 2025. We are currently working with a number of partners to prepare for the testnet. One Account, One Gas We have entered the demo stage and will continue to test to be compatible with more social accounts and more chains. Since it is currently in the testing phase, there is not much information to disclose. We will gradually update the community and the public as the testing progresses.
ChainCatcher: What new trends do you think will emerge in the Web3 social field in 2025? How will UXLINK position itself to adapt to these changes?
Eric: We believe that the social field is divided into two categories. One is infrastructure, such as UXLINK and Farcaster, and the other is Dapps that rely more on users’ social relationships. In terms of trends, the combination of AI and social networking is worth looking forward to ; groups in social networking are actually important scenarios, but a good way of Web3ization has not yet been explored; through social networking, more interesting and meaningful applications will be born to truly serve user needs. , and users can also participate in co-construction and capitalize social relationships.
