According to Decrypt, Binance asked the Delaware bankruptcy court to dismiss the $1.76 billion lawsuit filed by FTX, saying it was “legally unfounded” and accusing the FTX collapse of “one of the biggest corporate frauds in history” led by its founder Sam Bankman-Fried, not Binance’s actions.
FTX sued in November last year to recover US$1.76 billion of crypto assets transferred in the equity repurchase in July 2021, saying that FTX was insolvent at that time and misappropriated customer funds to complete the transaction.
Binance refuted that FTX has been operating for 16 months after trading, and that Zhao Changpeng's tweet on November 6, 2022, clearing the FTT position was not false or misleading.
